VineLink is a website that permits victims of crime and also the public to be able to track the status of prisoners. People can register so that they will be notified when the status of a prisoner changes. They can be notified through email, phone, SMS or TTY device. If you do not register, you are still able to search the prisoner in the Search menu where it says “Select State to get started” provided by the VineLink website.
Are there any other websites like VineLink? If yes, what are they? Below, there are some websites which are almost like VineLink. However, they are not exactly the same as VineLink. In VineLink, you are able to register so that you will be notified about the status of a prisoner, while in the websites below, you only have to search for yourself in the websites to know the status of the prisoner because it seems that in these sites, there may be no such service.
Jail Exchange
jailexchange.com is a website where you are able to search an inmate in America in every jail, prison and detention center. On this site, you are able to find Criminals, Arrests, Laws, Courts, Most Wanted, and Family Help Information.
If you want to find an inmate, you just have to access the website of Jail Exchange and then you have to select on the Find An Inmate menu located at the top of the site. After you are taken to another page, you have to choose whether someone that you are looking for is in the city or county jail, state prison, or federal prison. You choose State Prison, for example. Then, you have to select on the Select A State button and choose the state. Then, you need to choose the facility name or you can search for it. For example, if you choose the “California Correctional Center and Inmate Search” option, you will be taken to a page where it loads the information about the correctional center and on the right side, there is Inmate Search menu and select on it to search an inmate.

Search Systems can be accessed at searchsystems.net. On this site, you are able to search an inmate and can find out their status. Actually, this site has found, analyzed, described, and organized links to over 70,000 databases so that people are able to find criminal, property, court, marriage, death, and many more public record resources. Search Systems also offers a premium criminal search where you are permitted to search over 550 million criminal records nationwide.
Bop.Gov
BOP or the Federal Bureau of Prisons is a federal law enforcement agency in the United States under the Department of Justice. Its responsibilities are for the custody, care, and control of prisoners who have committed federal crimes. So, in the website of BOP where it can be accessed at bop.gov, you are able to search an inmate. To find an inmate, you just have to access the website at www.bop.gov and then when you are on the website, you have to put your cursor on the Inmates menu and then select on the Find an Inmate option. You will be taken to another page where you have to choose whether you want to find an inmate by number or by name.
Inmate Plus
Another website for searching for an inmate is inmatesplus.com. On this site, you are able to find an inmate in prison, perform police arrest search and search for public arrest. If you want to find an inmate, you are able to choose the “Find an Inmate in Prison” menu. And then, you will be taken to another page where there are some options. If you choose the first option (Free Inmate Information) by selecting on the Visit Website button, you will be taken to a page where you are able to get free inmate information. You can do that by filling the form there or if you want to get help in minutes, you can call (510) 394-0021. If you choose the second option (Just Type In a Name & State) by selecting on the Visit Website button, you will be taken to the Intelius site and there you can search an inmate by entering the inmate’s first name, last name, city and the state. If you choose the third option (Inmate Search and Lookup) by selecting on the Visit Website button, you will be taken to another page where you have to enter the inmate’s name, last name and choose the state.
The Inmate Locator
In the inmatelocator.cdcr.ca.gov, you are able to find prisoners, inmates, and offenders. So, how to find an inmate on this site? You just have to select on the state and then there will appear an Inmate Locator with select Here link and the thing that you have to do is to select on the select Here link. You will be taken to a page where it has a form that you have to fill to find an inmate. You do not need to fill out all of the fields in the form. You can only enter some of them such as the inmate’s first name and last name and then hit the Search button. However, if you know all of the information of the inmate in the form, then you can fill out all of the fields.
Then, you will be given the results and select on the one that you mean exactly on the inmate number. And then, you will be shown the detailed information about the inmate such as their complete name, age, date of birth, citizenship, current location, permanent location, committing county, and many more.
