What Does JPay Email Censored?
In the process of screening, your JPay email or inmate’s email will be censored. The facility will have peculiarities. In this case, an inmate may not receive directly the following things:
-
- Another inmate’s criminal record
- Personal information about any corrections officer, court official, or prison staff member
- Victim contact information
- Local maps
Furthermore, the content of your email may not pass the censorship, because your email contains any inappropriate content. Of course, your JPay email will be read and moderated by Corrections staff to ensure the security and good management of the prisons.
Well, if your email contains illegal or objectionable content, your email may be sent to the Corrections Intelligence Team or the Police. As a result, any inappropriate email will result in your email not being passed on to the inmate. Further, the chance for you to send emails to an inmate may be denied at all.
The censored emails here include:
-
- Illegal or objectionable material
- Profane
- Sexual or gang-related language
- Anything which threatens the security or management of the prison or any prisoner.
If your email contains illegal content, the coded message will not be passed on. Then, if multiple emails contain inappropriate content, your JPay email may be blocked and Corrections will no longer receive your emails further.
Does Blocked Email Always Refer to Your Illegal Content on Your JPay Email?
Your email that is blocked on JPay does not always refer to your illegal content. When you are trying to send them a message to an inmate, you may receive a notification that says ‘We are sorry, but the offender you selected is currently unable to receive mail. Please contact our Customer Service department using the “Email Us” form found here for more information’.
You should know that the notification is informing you that an inmate may be suspended from JPay or blocked using JPay service for a set amount of time. Some sources say that you cannot send email to email, since they have been suspended from using JPay and cannot send messages through JPay until the end of the year.
Furthermore, the inmates can be on lockdown for doing something the prison deemed punishable. It’s important to note, inmates cannot block people outside on JPay, since they do not have the options for it, unless they send an email to the JPay team to request that they do not want to contact you further.
