This may be your first time using VineLink and you have not registered and used it before. However, now you may decide to use it since you think that it will be beneficial for you. So, how to do an inmate search in VineLink? You are able to read the guide of doing inmate search in VineLink below.

  • The first thing that you have to do is to access the website of VineLink that you are able to access at www.vinelink.com.
  • When you are on the website, then you have to select the state where the offender is housed.

  • You have to search for an offender and it is done by choosing the “Search For Someone” option.

  • Then, you may see that on the screen there are some fields such as “I’m searching for An offender/ defendant”, “Located in”, and “Whose … is”. If you want to continue your search, you have to enter the offender’s name or ID number.

  • Let’s say that you want to search by name. So, you have to choose Name in the “Whose … Is” section.
  • If you want to get the best result, you have to enter the full first and last name. In case the exact name is unknown or does not give you the results, you are able to give a tick in the “Partial Name” box and enter at least the first two characters of the last name to include more results. If you also want to include any photos that may have been provided by an agency in your search results, you have to give a tick in a statement which says “Display offender photos in search results (if available)”.
  • If you have not created or signed into a VineLink account, there will be a captcha that you have to solve so that you are able to continue with the search.
  • Now, you have to check the box beside the statement which says that you are not a robot to generate the captcha. You have to solve the captcha by choosing the suitable images and selecting the Verify button after that.
  • After you verify the captcha, then you need to select on the Search button to continue.
  • And now, you will be given the results. So, the thing that you have to do here is to choose the offender from the results. You have to select on the Record Details if you want to see custody details. Then, it will list identifying information for the offender such as the offender’s name, age, gender, and race.

The Thing To Do When Having Trouble in Accessing VineLink

If you find that you are having trouble accessing VINELink, you may have to clear your browser cookies and temporary Internet files where it can be done by following the steps below.

  • First, you have to open Internet Explorer and then go to Tools, Internet Options. And then, you will see the General tab.
  • Now, in the Browsing History section, you have to select on the Delete button. And then, the Delete Browsing History screen comes up.
  • In the Temporary Internet Files section, you have to select on the Delete Files button. And then, you have to select on the Yes option to confirm the deletion.
  • In the Cookies section, you have to select on the Delete Cookies button and then select Yes.
  • Now, you have to select on the Close option, and then select OK.
  • At last, you have to restart your browser and try to access VineLink again.
