Some prison foods that you see, whether on the internet, in a film or in a report of a prison in the news, do not look yummy. However, there are some prison foods that look delicious and probably you can say that they are the best prison food so that people want to try it as well. These foods can be made by the prisoners by using their commissary items. And here are the foods as cited from the Mashed site.

On an episode of Hot Ones, Ja Rule appeared. There, one of the things that he shared was a favorite jailhouse recipe when he was serving time for weapons possession and hardcore tax evasion. The recipe includes ramen noodles, Jack Mack which is a canned mackerel, and sweet and sour sauce.

Albert Johnson of Mobb Deep also said that when he was locked down, he came up with a number of recipes and one of them is a recipe that includes ramen noodles that are topped with Jack Mack. However, the seasoning is not sweet and sour sauce, but hot sauce and crushed Doritos.

Pizza

This pizza is another ramen-based recipe. The previous version of the recipe includes a crust that is made from crushed ramen and crackers. After that, they are blended with hot water to make a paste and then it is shaped into a pizza crust. And then, the crust is topped with squeeze cheese, salsa, sausage or any other ingredients that are suitable for topping.

There is another recipe of this pizza where it was provided by Kevin Bullington. In his recipe, he makes a pizza from tortillas which are glued together with squeeze cheese to form a thicker crust. For sauce, he mixes ketchup with crushed cheese crackers and more squeeze cheese, and real shredded cheese is used on the top.

To make this nachos, you just have to take a bag of tortilla chips and top them with canned chili and refried beans which have been heated in the microwave. Mix squeeze cheese with a little diced onion and green pepper and heat up in the microwave including the vegetables.

This cake recipe is from Clark County Jail in Jeffersonville, Indiana. To make it, you need a whole package of peanut butter cookies and then separate the cookies from the filling. Crush the cookies to a powder before you add water to make a dough.

The next thing to do is to break a package of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and mix them with the peanut butter cookies filling along with two scoops of powdered cappuccino mix and a little water. In a microwave, you have to heat this mixture. Form the cake by altering layers of dough. After that, you have to add the topping where it is done by placing a Hershey bar in a cup of hot water until it melts. And then, squeeze it into the whole cake. The last, drizzle a scoop of peanut butter that is melted in the microwave over the top. Put the cake on top of a bowl full of ice for two hours.

Another sweet food that you can create without baking is Correctional Cake. To make this recipe, inmates can use their commissary items. The ingredients are very simple including a jar of peanut butter, a package of Oreos, and a large bag of M&Ms.

To make this cake, first you have to separate the Oreo cookies from the filling. After that, crush the cookies and set aside. And now, you have to mix the filling with peanut butter. After that, you have to sprinkle the peanut butter mixture with M&Ms. You also need to add some water to the Oreo that you have crushed and then mix it. And then, spread the Oreo mix on the top of the peanut butter and top with more M&Ms.
