About Securus eMessaging
With eMessaging offered by Securus Technology, you will have a digital paperless solution when you want to communicate with an inmate. It allows you to be able to send a digital message with the option to include a photo. You are also able to buy the inmate reply or you are able to set it to only allow incoming messages.
The things that you can do with this feature are sending a text-based message, attaching up to 5 photos, sharing up to 5 eCards, sending just a photo with Securus Snap n’ Send on (app only), and sending a VideoGram for 30 seconds that you record now or have saved (app only).
How about an inmate? What can they do with eMessaging? They are able to reply to your message if you attach a return stamp, get transferred stamps that you share at no cost to them, and buy their own stamps from their Securus Debit account.
To be able to use eMessaging in Securus, you need to have a Securus Online account. You also have to login. You need to know that messages are sent and received from your eMessaging inbox from the Securus website or on the Securus mobile app. If you want to use eMessage, you have to buy a book of stamps where the price is different from one facility to another facility.
It is also important for you to note that all messages and photos that are sent will be reviewed by the facility. If the message, photo or VideoGram violates the rules, then it will be rejected and there will be notification about it. Stamps that are used for sending the messages, photos or VideoGram will not be refunded if they are rejected.
