The Creepiest Jeffrey Dahmer Interview Moments
Here are the creepiest moments from interview with him:
1. The Compulsion
Jeffrey Dahmer said that he needs to kill and perform other acts, cannibalize. It was the only thing that gave him any satisfaction. It was like an urge he needed to satisfy which is seriously disturbing. This need became so heightened and uncontrollable that Jeffrey Dahmer found himself overwhelmed with the victims and still to continue to kill. He cannot think of anything that would have stopped him in. In an interview with him, Nancy Glass asked Jeffrey Dahmer whether he still felt compulsion after he had been locked away. Then, Jeffrey Dahmer answered that he wished he could say that it just left completely, but no, there are times when he still does have the old compulsion.
2. A Normal Guy
One thing that comes up in the recounting of Jeffrey Dahmer’s interviews and courtroom demeanor is that Jeffrey Dahmer seemed like an ordinary man. In 1993, Nancy Glass was granted an interview with Jeffrey Dahmer at the Columbia Correctional Institution. Recently, she appeared on News Nation with Chris Cuomo, a segment in which she recalled that Jeffrey Dahmer seemed so normal. It was the most terrifying thing about him. In fact, his ability to manipulate had him fooling police when one of his victims escaped. Because he was so normal, he was able to get away with so much. It is what made him so terrifying.
3. The Motive
Once Jeffrey Dahmer was caught, he did not hold back on explaining the motivation behind his unforgivable actions. In a recently released extra footage scene from the Nancy Glass interview, Jeffrey Dahmer said that he did not kill out of anger or hate but because he wanted to keep his victims with him. His needs escalated resulting in cannibalism. Jeffrey Dahmer felt a sexual thrill from that type of control. That is what motivated his cannibalism.
4. Dismemberment
In 1994, Stone Philips conducted a televised interview with Jeffrey Dahmer and his father Lionel Dahmer. Jeffrey Dahmer said that he acted on his fantasies, and that is where everything went wrong. Stone Philips asked Jeffrey Dahmer whether there was something sexual about the fact that he would dismember bodies. Then, Jeffrey Dahmer responded without hesitation that it took more and more deviant type behaviors to satisfy his urges. When Jeffrey Dahmer’s apartment was searched a number of human remains were found in various states of decomposition.
5. A Zombie-like State
As time went on Jeffrey Dahmer experimented with processes to render his victims completely subservient. His reasoning behind this was that he could keep his victim alive yet in an altered state one. He was referred to as zombie-like. In the Nancy Glass interview, Jeffrey Dahmer discusses this method eerily. Also, he said that this method never worked completely. Nancy Glass asked him, could someone like you be stopped? And could you be helped? Jeffrey Dahmer answered no, he was dead set on going with this compulsion. It was the only thing that gave him any satisfaction.
6. Overwhelmed
Recently, Wendy Patrickus (Jeffrey Dahmer’s lawyer) spoke with documentary filmmakers on the conversations with a killer on the Jeffrey Dahmer tapes. She spoke about her experience as well as relayed Jeffrey Dahmer’s confessions and story. Wendy Patrickus refers to Dahmer’s action as an addiction that kept growing. She said that Jeffrey Dahmer had the same addiction to the killing. Jeffrey Dahmer needed it more and more. Also, Jeffrey Dahmer revealed that he could not wait, he needed the excitement of it.
7. The Taste
In 1992, Jeffrey Dahmer was interrogated by the FBI concerning a tip given to them that he was also responsible for the kidnapping and murder of a boy in Florida. He was ultimately not guilty of this case. But the interview covered some other things as well about the murder committed by him. Jeffrey Dahmer is asked about what he did with some of their remains. Jeffrey Dahmer responds that he treats them like he would eat filet mignon. How disgusting it is.
8. A Nice-Looking Face
In the Wendy Patrickus’ tapes, all bases are covered. And, it is terrifying when Jeffrey Dahmer recalled the murder of Anthony Sears. Dahmer spoke of Anthony Sears’ look and how he had a nice looking face. Due to Anthony Sears having a nice-looking face, Dahmer decided to preserve Sears’ head. This was the first time Jeffrey Dahmer tried this method to preserve his victim’s head.
9. The Shrine
Jeffrey Dahmer was in the midst of a project building a grotesque Shrine, when he was arrested. In Wendy Patrickus tapes, he described the Shrine as a remembrance and a keepsake of his victims. Jeffrey Dahmer drew a diagram of the planned Shrine for Wendy Patrickus which she shows in the Netflix documentary and which Jeffrey Dahmer actually signed. This way to keep his victims with him. It is really fearful to imagine Jeffrey Dahmer seeking some sort of comfort from a shrine of human remnants.
10. The Carrying Case
Anthony Sears was Jeffrey Dahmer’s first victim. Dahmer kept some of Sears’ body parts in an airtight case and brought it to work. He said that he wanted to keep something of Sears’ body with him. In an interview with Nancy Glass, he spoke openly about this carrying case and how he kept it in his work locker. In the Patrick Estate, Jeffrey Dahmer reveals that it did not turn out as he wished because with time it no longer looked like Anthony Sears. As Jeffrey was being escorted out, at the end of the Stone Philips interview, he pointed out an equipment case that looked like the one he had owned.
