Searching TDCJ (Texas Department of Criminal Justice) Inmates in JPay
If you want to search an inmate from any state, the thing that you have to do is to access the JPay website. After that, you can click on the Inmate Search menu at the top of the homepage. Then, in the Inmate Search section, you have to choose the state and enter the inmate ID. After choosing the state and entering inmate ID, you have to hit the Find button.

It seems that you can also find an inmate by accessing the Availability and Pricing page of the JPay site as long as you know the unit or facility where the inmate is incarcerated. To check the availability and pricing of JPay services in TDCJ, you have to click on the Prison Search menu at the top of the Jpay page. Then, you will be taken to the Availability and Pricing page. On that page, you have to scroll to find Texas first and then click on it once you find it. Then, click on the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. After you click on it, you will be taken to a page which contains the information about the availability of JPay services in Texas Department of Criminal Justice. When you access it, you will see that the available JPay services are sending money, email, outbound email, and phone prepaid/debit. To know the rates of each service, you are able to click on the Rates on that page.
