JPay Phone Setup

With JPay, you are able to stay connected with your friend or a family member who is incarcerated. It is because JPay offers a number of features that you can use for making it come true. One of the features offered by JPay to allow you to connect with an inmate is the phone feature. However, if you want to use a JPay phone, you have to set it up first.

With the Phone Time feature of JPay, you are able to help an inmate make phone calls to you or the other people on their call list. By the existence of the Phone Time account, an inmate can call anyone on their approved caller list.

There is also the Friend and Family AdvanceConnect which is a prepaid phone time account that permits the inmate to call you. When you want to fund the inmate’s AdvanceConnect account, it means that you are permitting them to call you and only you and you need to be on their approved caller list. If you want to send funds to their AdvanceConnect account, you must register your phone number first where it can be done by calling (877) 800-5729. After that, you will get a pass code that you use to send funds to their AdvanceConnect account.

However, if you add funds to the inmate’s general phone account, it means that you permit them to make calls to anyone on their approved caller list.

And here are the steps that you can follow to fund your inmate’s AdvanceConnect account.

• • First, on the JPay home page, you have to click on the Phone Time on the Navigation menu.
    
  • After that, in the Friends and Family AdvanceConnect box, you have to click on the Buy Prepaid Time.
  • When you are on the AdvanceConnect page, in the Choose Account list, you have to choose the number that you want to use and then insert the pass code for the number. After that, make sure that you click on the Continue button.
  • You have to select your payment method by selecting a previously saved card from the Select card list or you are able to click on the “Use a new credit/debit card” if you want to use a new card and you will have to add billing information for the new card.
    
  • In the Enter Amount field, the thing that you need to do is to enter the amount of money that you want to send to the inmate and then do not forget to click on the Continue button.
  • And now, you have to make sure that the information is correct in the Payment Verification box and click on the Submit.

However, if you want to fund the inmate Phone Time account, you can follow the steps below for doing that.

• • First, you have to access the JPay home page and then on the Navigation menu, you have to click on the Phone Time option.
  • Then, you have to click on the Buy Phone Time in the “Add Funds to Phone Account” box.
  • When you are on the Phone Account page, in the Choose Offender list, you need to choose the inmate that you want to fund.
  • Now, you have to select your payment method and it can be done by choosing a previously saved card from the Select Card list or you are able to click on the “Use a new credit/ debit card” in case you wish to use a new card.
  • In the Enter Amount field, you are required to enter the amount of money that you want to send to the inmate. After entering the amount of money, you have to click on the Continue button.
  • In the Payment Verification box, you need to make sure that the information is right. And finally, you have to click on the Submit button.
