- With an Inmate Account, you can select to deposit funds into your incarcerated loved one or friend’s account. The inmates can use that fund to call and video visit with any contact who has been authorized. Also, the inmates can use those funds for any other communications services available at their facility.
- With the Trust and Commissary Account, you can select to deposit funds that your incarcerated loved one or friend can use to buy items from the facility commissary such as snacks, toiletries, clothing, and other goods.
To start deposit funds, continue these steps below:
- Firstly, go to www.gettingout.com, and then click the Create Account link.
- Please continue as a New User. Then, you must choose the Country, State, and facility where your loved one or friend is located.
- Now, you can decide where you want to deposit your funds. As explained above, you can select deposit funds into a Friends and Family account, Inmate account, or the Trust and Commissary account. Both a Friends & Family account and Inmate account allow you to receive phone calls, video visits, send messages and share photos. While the Trust and Commissary account only allow your incarcerated loved one or friend to buy items from the facility commissary.
