On the JPay site, it is explained that you are able to send JPay credits and the credits can be used by the inmate to buy things like stamps, JPay Player, music and also print outs of pictures and statements and many more. So, the thing that you can do to make your inmate buy stamps is to send them JPay credits.
So, how can I send JPay credits to an inmate? You are able to follow the steps below according to the JPay site.
- The first thing that you have to do is to access the JPay homepage and then on the Navigation menu, you need to click on the Music.
- After that, on the Music menu, you need to click on the Send JPay Credits option and then click on the Continue button.
- Now, you have to choose your payment method where it can be done by choosing a previously saved card from the Select card list or you are able to click on the Use A New Credit/ Debit Card in case a new card is used.
- In the Enter Amount field, you have to enter the amount of money that you will send to the inmate and then click on the Continue button.
- In the Payment Verification box, you have to make sure that the information is right and click Payments Terms of Service to read Payments Terms of Service. After that, you have to click on the checkbox and click on the Continue button.

On the JPay site, it is also explained that you are able to pre-pay for a reply for an inmate by choosing the “Include a pre-paid reply for the Inmate” checkbox. If you do this, it will send one stamp that the inmate may use to reply only to you.
