Those who have closed your Securus account because your loved one has been out or a jail, a prison, or a detention center may want to reopen it as your family member or friend just entered such a facility. The thing is you have no idea what you should do to reopen it. So, how do you open your Securus account?
According to the official website of Securus Technology, there are a few steps that you have to follow to be able to reopen your Securus account. All the steps are as follows:
- The first thing that you have to do is to log in to your online account.
- Once you have successfully logged in to your online account, it is time for you to choose the account that you want to reopen.
- After choosing that specific account, you just have to choose the Reopen Account button.
- By doing so, someone will pop up. It is like a confirmation that you have reopened your account.
If your loved one gets released in the future and you want to close your Securus account again, the instructions that you can follow include:
- Firstly, you should log in to your Securus account.
- After logging in, go to the Manage PrePaid Account page.
- When you are there, select on Close Account.
Apart from using the method above, you can also close your Securus account by sending an email to support@Securus.com. When composing the email, enter Request to Close My Account as the subject. In the form of the email, make sure to explain that you want your Securus account to be blocked. To convince them, you are suggested to state your reasons.
