According to Document Center of VINE-Link-FAQ-PDF, here are the steps that you have to do to search for an offender and register to receive notification using VineLink.
First, you will have to search for an offender in custody to use VineLink and it is done by firstly accessing the website of VineLink.

When you are on the website, then you have to select on the state where the offender is housed.
Now, you have to choose the Search & Register tab across the top of the navigation page.
And then, you have to choose the Facility or Facilities that you want to search, type in the Offender Identification number or the full Last Name and at least the first initial of the First Name and then select on the Search button.
After that, you have to verify the information for the offender that matches the person for whom you search.
Now, you will register to get notification about changes in an offender’s custody status. After you complete the steps 1 to 5 above, then you have to select on the magnifying glass icon which can be found under the Register/ Details column beside the appropriate offender.
And then, on the Offender Details screen, you have to select your Method of Registration, and then select on the Continue.
Here, you have to complete the required information for registration.
Finally, you must select on the Register.

The Steps to Create An Account in VineLink
If you have not created an account and you want to create an account in VineLink, you are able to do that by following the steps below according to a YouTube video entitled How To Create a VineLink Account which was uploaded on April 22nd, 2020.
- First, you have to access the website of VineLink.com
- On that site, you have to select on the Create Account button which can be found at the top right of the site.
- And then, you will be given a small window where you have to enter your username, password and re-enter your password. And also, you have to choose from the drop-down menu of Verify Account. If you choose Email, you will have to enter your email address and re-enter email. If you choose Text Message, you will have to enter your cell phone number and re-enter cell phone number.
- After you fill out all of the fields, then you have to select on the Create Account button.
- And then, to finalize your account creation, you have to verify your account by entering the code sent to you by text or email. After you enter the code, then you have to select on the Verify button.
