She was an Earth Liberation Front (ELF) member. In 2006, she was found guilty because of committing arson at the Vail Ski Resort in Colorado and businesses in Oregon between 1996 and 2001. She served 6 years for arson and was released in 2013.
3. Maria Butina
Maria Butina is a Russian political activist, politician, journalist, and former entrepreneur. She was sentenced for 18 months because of the Espionage act. In July 2018, Maria Butina was arrested by the FBI. She was charged with acting as an agent of the Russian Federation “without prior notification to the Attorney General”. She was found guilty in December 2018. In April 2019, she was sentenced by the federal judge to 18 months in prison. At FCI Tallahassee, she served around 5 months. In October 2019, she was released from the prison and then she was deported back to Russia. Butina was elected as a member of United Russia to the State Duma in 2021.
4. Catherine May Wood
She was a serial killer where she killed nursing home patients. She was sentenced for 20 – 40 years and she was released in January 2020. According to Wikipedia, in 1987, Catherine May Wood and her partner, Gwendolyn Gail Graham, killed 5 elderly women in Walker, Michigan. These people committed the crimes in the Alpine Manor nursing home. They worked in the nursing home as nurse’s aides.
5. Narcisa Veliz Novack
Bernice Novack and Narcisa’s son, Ben Novack Jr., were murdered in 2009 and Narcy Novack became the murder mastermind. Narcisa Novack was sentenced to life in prison without parole. In April 2009, Ben’s mother, Bernice, was found dead in her garage. Initially, her death was considered as the result of an accidental fall. However, after her son’s murder three months later, it was found that she was murdered. Narcy Novack was arrested in July 2010 for the murders of her husband and mother-in-law.
6. Jaelyn Delshaun Young
She was sentenced because of trying to join ISIS with her fiance named Muhammad “Moe” Dakhlalla. They were students at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi. They decided to join ISIS by going to Syria before they were arrested. Starting in May 2015, they made statements on social media supportive of ISIS. But then, they were arrested by the FBI at Golden Triangle Regional Airport. On August 11th, 2016, she was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Dakhlalla was found guilty and he testified against Young and received 8 years in prison. Young was scheduled to be released from the prison in 2024.
7. Ghislaine Maxwell
She was sentenced because of sexual trafficking of minors and related offenses. In June 2022, in a New York court, she was sentenced to 20 years in prison. She will be released on July 17th, 2037. She is a British and a former socialite. She is Robert Maxwell’s daughter and Robert Maxwell himself is a British media proprietor.
