Eligibility for DV Lottery 2023

Through a random computer-based selection process, DV lottery 2023 will provide 55,000 green cards available for foreign nationals or natives of certain countries with low immigration rates to immigrate to the United States. Thus, foreign nationals or natives of certain countries with historically high rates of immigration to the United States are not allowed to register. Or, such foreign nationals can also participate in the Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV) program through their parent’s birth countries as long as their parent’s birth countries are eligible to participate.

Also, the applicants who participate in the DV lottery must meet educational or work requirements. They must have completed a 12-year course of formal elementary and secondary school to meet the educational requirement.
