JPay allows you to take a video visitation by making a schedule first. To do a video visitation through JPay, the JPay tablet used by your loved one in prison should run Adobe Flash Player. Without this software, it is likely hard to do a video visitation.
However, many JPay users complained that Flash Player on the JPay tablet does not allow them to do a video visitation. So, they cannot get connected with their loved one in prison. Are you also one of them who face the issue on JPay video visitation due to Adobe Flash Player stop running? To know the real facts about this problem, you can dive into our post below!
Why Is Adobe Flash Player Not Running for JPay Video Visitation?
According to some sources, after December 31, 2020, Adobe no longer supports Flash Player and has blocked Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021. The aftermath of this problem, Adobe strongly suggests all users to uninstall Flash Player immediately to help protect their systems.
After the EOL (End of Life) Date, Adobe is not going to issue Flash Player updates or security patches. In order to help secure your system, Adobe blocked any Flash contents from running in Flash Player. Reportedly, major browser vendors have disabled and will continue to disable Flash Player from running.
Well, some users probably continue to see reminders from Adobe to uninstall Flash Player from their system. The point is, Flash Player is no longer going to load content from the open web, so the JPay users can no longer use Flash Player to run a JPay video visitation with inmates.
Is There Any Player to Replace Adobe Flash Player for JPay Video Visitation?
Unfortunately, no! Adobe no longer provides a player to support JPay Video Visitation. Instead, JPay itself provides a new client to support JPay video visitation. The new client here is Securus Technologies Precall Test.
JPay seems to move away from Adobe Flash Player and is in the process of rolling out their new Video Runtime Environment nationwide. To run a new client, of course, you should download and ensure that your system is ready for this new and improved video connect experience.
