Bedford Hills Correctional Facility is a facility for women. In New York State, Bedford Hills Correctional Facility is the largest women’s prison. This facility is operated by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS). Previously, the name of this prison was Bedford Hills Correctional Institution. In 1901, this facility was opened and at that time its name was Westfield State Farm.
