How Do I Contact an Inmate at Clark County Detention Center (CCDC)?

An inmate in prison lives in restrictions. However, it does not mean that they are not able to be contacted by their family and friends at all. Inmates who are incarcerated at Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) can be contacted by several ways that can be explained below.

Contacting Inmates by Phone

As explained on the website of Clark County Nevada, inmates are prohibited to receive phone calls. However, if there is something that is very important or we can say that it is an emergency, family or friends are able to contact The Clark County Detention Center at (702) 671-3900.

Contact an Inmate at Clark County Detention Center (CCDC)

Clark County Detention Center also has a way for an inmate who wants to contact their family or friends, namely by phone which is operated by Securus Telecommunications. If inmates want to use it the family or friends need to have an Advance Connect account. What is it? It is a prepaid calling account that permits family and friends to receive prepaid calls from inmates. The charges are deducted from their prepaid account automatically.

There is also a Debit account. With it, inmates have the ability to call anyone. To be able to use Debit account or Advance Connect account features, the inmate’s family or friends need to set up and add money to these accounts. It is done by visiting www.securustech.net/contact-us or calling Securus at 1-800-844-6591.

Contacting Inmates by Mail

You are able to contact an inmate at Clark County Detention Center by mail. Letters and photos can be sent to an inmate at CCDC and you are able to send them to the Clark County Detention Center at:

When you send a mail, make sure that you do not send any illegal things because all non-legal (social) mail will be opened and screened for contraband. If there is an item that cannot be sent to an inmate, the staff of CCDC can return it to the sender. Another thing that you need to note is that if you want to send cash money, it is recommended not to send it by mail.

Here are the requirements of your mail to be accepted by CCDC.

  • Your mail needs to contain a return address.
  • You have to use white envelopes and white paper and also use black ink, blue ink, or pencil.
  • The envelopes that you use are not bigger than 4 in. x 9 ½ in.
  • Your letters must be written on paper which is not bigger than 8-1/2 in. x 11 in.
  • If you want to include photographs, make sure that they are 4 in x 6 in. Per parcel is limited to 5 photos.
  • It is prohibited to send nude, pornographic, sexually suggestive, partially nude or sexually explicit in nature photographs.

And here are some items that cannot be sent through mail, but not limited to them.

  • Postcards or greeting cards.
  • Photographs which are larger or smaller than 4 in. x 6 in.
  • Bulk mail, newspapers, publications, books.
  • Official documents such as bank documents, legal documents, IRS statements, and so on.
  • Blank or unused envelopes, paper, stamps, and stationery.
  • Mail with rhinestones, glitter, stickers, or glued items.
