Expanding its footprint to better serve inmates, Cowlitz County Jail in Washington has built some new facilities since 2005. With a contract with the Washington State Department of Corrections, this jail houses the individuals who violated the terms of their post-sentence surveillance agreement.

You can find the Cowlitz County Jail Roster on the official website of Cowlitz County for the section of Jail Division here. On the page of the Jail Division, you need to click the “Inmate List” section in the menu list on the left of the screen. Or, you can also get direct access to the Cowlitz County Jail Roster.

On the jail roster page, you can see a list of inmates who are currently housed in Cowlitz County. The jail roster will always be updated every day. As of this writing, there are 202 current inmates, 14 booked inmates, and 48 released inmates within the last 48 hours.

  • To see current inmates, you can only click “Inmates.”
  • To see booked inmates, you can only click “Bookings.”
  • To see released inmates, you can only click “Releases.”

To see more about an inmate in detail, you can click the “Profile/Charges” link, which will bring up the inmate’s profile and show the following information:

Cowlitz County Jail is located at 1935 First Avenue, Longview, Washington 98632. It serves the community by ensuring justice with dedicated services and sacrifice. This jail also provides and manages progressive corrections services effectively and efficiently in a socially responsible manner.

The goal of Cowlitz County Jail is to provide cost-effective services for the community, staff, and inmates. As the only detention center in Cowlitz County, it housed about 325 inmates at any given time, on average. With a safe and secure jail service, it also serves Longview, Castle Rock, Kelso, Woodland, Kalama, and all of the smaller communities in Cowlitz County.

The Cowlitz County Jail consists of various housing units that hold a specific number of inmates. However, specific details about the facility’s design and capacity may have been changed.

This jail also allows inmates and their families to stay connected through direct visits, video visits, and voicemail messages. The family can take advantage of Securus Technologies to make a video visitation and add funds to the inmate’s account.

To do a video visitation, you need to make a schedule first on Securus, and it will usually be scheduled 7 days per week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Inmates will be allowed to receive video visits for 20 minutes per session. Video visits will be monitored by the facility in accordance with jail rules and regulations.

To visit an inmate in person, you should also meet the jail rules and regulations. When it comes to dress code, you shouldn’t be revealing. You also need to wear shoes with unvulgar clothes. You also need to use cameras or a cellphone during visits. Luckily, there is no limit to the number of inmates you may visit per day, but each inmate will be allowed about 20 minutes on their visiting day.
