Gang stalking itself, as explained on the My Law Questions site, is a harassment or intimidation tactic that is used by a group of people against another person or smaller group of people. Why do they do this? The reason may vary but it can be intolerance, jealousy, racial prejudice or having different beliefs or lifestyles.

How to Know if You're Being Gang Stalked

How can we know that we are being gang stalked? There are some signs that can indicate that you are being gang stalked as you are able to read below according to Everyday Health site and also Christopher Kokoski on Medium.

Feeling Uncomfortable

One of the signs that you are being gang stalked is that you feel uncomfortable again and again but you do not know why. Then, it makes you doubtful and afraid, becoming stressed and your confidence is lost. When these feelings are felt, it means that the gang stalkers have successfully manipulated you and controlled you to keep you from focusing and at the end you become defeated.

Getting Phone Calls Repeatedly

If you get phone calls again and again and even the calls are in hang-ups or long silence forms, you have to be careful because you may be gang stalked. If you experience this thing, you are able to tell the person to stop doing it. However, if you feel that you are very uncomfortable with the calls and even it disturbs you and you become afraid and feeling threatened, you are able to inform the police for your safety.

Being Followed Through the Internet

They do not only follow you in real life, but they also follow you through the internet. They send emails or texts or even they post messages or photos on your social media such as on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Sometimes, they may give you links to certain websites. Same as physical stalking, internet stalking is not acceptable as well and even most law enforcement agencies have cyber-crime units. So, if you feel that you are being harassed on the internet, you are able to report it to the local law enforcement and your internet service provider.

Being Threatened or Treated Violently

Some stalkers threaten or act violently to their victims. The forms of threatening can vary. One of the examples is that you find that your home wall is vandalized or the stalkers burglarize your home.

Being Spied

In some places where you are, you may see the same person. At first, you may think that it may be just an accident. However, when you find that you see the person too often, then it may be suspicious. You are probably being spied on, moreover if you also see the person in your neighborhood.

Not only being followed by the stalker, but your information is also known by them and even they take a picture of you. Not only knowing about you, but they also know about your family and friends. When you feel that you are being watched, it can indicate that you are being stalked.

Receiving Unwanted Presents

Some victims of stalkers receive unwanted presents. They may even receive inappropriate presents again and again. The presents may also be sent to the victim’s office. The stalkers may also contact the victim to know whether the victim has received the presents or not.

Being Saved by the Stalker

The stalkers may create a situation where you have to be saved by them. It can be like your car tire suddenly goes flat suspiciously and at that time the stalker will appear to help you.

Being Isolated from Your Family and Friends

Stalkers isolate their victims from their family and friends with the aim to isolate the victims from their close people. Stalkers do that by usually sharing information that can damage your reputation. The information can be true or not, but it can make your family and friends avoid you or even you are the one who will withdraw yourself from them.

In this situation, your family and friends may have the same negative perception about you because they are influenced by the stalkers. So, people and even yourself will think that you are unworthy or sick. So, it is not impossible that you will rely on the stalker and you end up being exploited by them.

Small Things Change

Changing in small things can also be a sign of gang stalking. You may find that there are small things that have changed and you do not realize that these things are done by the gang stalkers to your surroundings. The changes make you confused, but your close people such as your family and friends insist that there is nothing different and they will say that you see and hear things that do not exist. The aim of the stalker for doing this is to destroy your mentality and to make you wonder whether you are crazy.

Losing Your Trust to Yourself

In the end, the goal of the stalkers to do all of these things is to lose your trust in yourself. And then, they want you to focus on them. By losing your trust to yourself, they can do bad things such as stealing your job or partner or even exploiting you as explained before.

So, if some or even all of these things are experienced by you, you have to be careful. If needed, you can get help from your family and friends or even contact the police for reporting the gang stalkers.
