What Is Halfway House?

Halfway House Locations
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) site, the BOP contracts with residential reentry centers (RRCs) or known as halfway houses with the aim to provide assistance to inmates who are nearing release. The halfway houses provide an environment which is safe, structured, and supervised. The halfway houses also provide employment counselling, job placement, financial management assistance, and other programs and services.
