Community Services League, which is also more known as CSL in short, is the name of the organization. It aims to make meaningful and lasting change in the lives of the people. It has a mission and a vision, just like most organizations. Check out the mission and the vision of Community Services League below:
- Mission: To assist communities in reaching their potential by providing immediate relief to people in need, assessing their situations, and providing solutions that lead to economic stability.
- Vision: Communities where all people have resources to meet basic needs, attain meaningful work, and have a place to call home.
Community Services League teams up with Thrift World to accept donations of a few things such as clothing, shoes, small appliances and other household items. If you are not familiar with Thrift World, it is the one that is located at the corner of 39th Street and Noland Road in Independence. These two work together to help the neighbors in need. According to the official website of Community Services League, every donation to Thrift World will financially benefit them.
For anyone who is interested in arranging for a pickup with Thrift World directly from your home or from your business, you are suggested to use the form that can be found at here so that you can provide details and schedule. The name of the form is called Tax Receipt.
In the form, there are a few information that you have to provide. These include the date of the donation, your email address to send tax receipt, your name, your address (make sure to include city, state, or zip code for receipt), donated item #1 (for instance: clothing household goods, furniture), donated item #1 value, donated item #2, donated item #2 value, donated item #3, donated item #3 value, donated item #4, donated item #4 value, donated item #5, and donated item #5 value. In case you need to itemize more than 5 items, you can create a second, third, and so on receipt. Just do it after completing the first one. Once you have completed the form, the next thing that you have to do is to press the Submit button that is located at the bottom left.
